Penns Personnel are delighted to be recruiting a proactive HR Officer for our highly successful and growing client in the Car Repair sector. You will support their team across key HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, training and development and performance management. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you’ll help ensure compliance with company policies while promoting a positive workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recruitment & Onboarding: Assist with job postings, interviews, and new hire onboarding.
- Employee Relations: Address HR queries, resolve issues, and support a positive work environment.
- Performance Management: Support performance appraisals and assist with improvement plans.
- Training & Development: Identify training needs and coordinate sessions.
- HR Administration: Maintain employee records and prepare HR reports.
- Benefits & Compliance: Administer benefits, support payroll accuracy, and ensure policy compliance.
What we’re looking for:
- An HR generalist with experience ideally gained in a small business, preferably in the automotive, car repair or industrial sector.
- An understanding Employment Law and experience of improving processes and delivering HR best practices.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- CIPD qualification (Level 5 or above desirable) is essential.
- Highly approachable with a positive and flexible approach.
