This exciting opportunity has arisen for a full time Practice Administrator to join our clients Medical Secretarial Team. You will be required to be able to work on your own initiative and provide support to a busy and demanding service. Main duties of the job
- Providing full support for the Medical Secretaries team, ensuring an efficient and effective administrative service to the practice.
- Supporting the Medical Secretaries team managing the generic mailbox and monitoring and processing the responses from hospitals, and forwarding any actions to the relevant GP.
- Supporting the Workflow team, scanning and uploading to patient records documents in paper or electronic formats.
- Providing courteous, confidential and sympathetic advice to patients.
- Good organisational and language skills.

Job responsibilities
- Effectively monitoring and processing the responses from hospitals and other healthcare agencies.
- Managing the generic mailbox processing all email correspondence and prioritising urgent actions/requests from the District Nurse/Hospitals.
- Supporting the Workflow team by scanning paper documents/letters to patient’s record, as per the Workflow protocols – Cardiology, Out of Hours/A&E reports, Radiology etc.

Person Specification
Essential Good standard of education and experience of working in a busy office environment.
Desirable
- Experience on EMIS Web
- Experience of working General Practice.
